Sudoku Rules

Sudoku (Su = number, Doku = only) is the name by which a logic game inspired by works on the calculation of probabilities (Latin squares) of the famous mathematician Leonhard Euler is known.

In 1979 it appeared for the first time published under the name Number Place in Dell Magazines, New York, but it was not until 1984 that it became popular when it was published in a Japanese newspaper, the Monthly Nikolist.

In 2005 he made the leap to the West where he began to be published in the crossword section of the Los Angeles Times.

The objective of the sudoku game is to complete the board by placing a number from 1 to 9 in each empty cell.

The choice of each number is not random, but must respect three basic rules: there cannot be repeated numbers neither in the same row, nor in the same column, nor in each of the 9 grid regions formed by 9 boxes (3x3) into which the Sudoku game board is divided.

Sudoku is played by applying logic, first placing those numbers that cannot be placed in more than one box and, from there, completing it.
